It all began with Alex and Hannah Laman organizing a book drive for kids who didn’t have access to books. The 195 books collected from this drive were donated to Adopt a Book’s inaugural beneficiaries, ProKids and Lighthouse Youth Services. Although the direct impact seemed small, the repercussions of their book drive were profound. News of the book drive spread like wildfire through the community and book donations began to skyrocket.
After almost seven years of dedication from Alex & Hannah, our Board of Directors, and the countless altruistic sponsors & donors that make our mission possible, we are proud to have helped the following list of over 100 organizations; a list that we will always strive to expand further.
